The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join the team in Everett, WA.

The selected candidate will work safety activities in a high-risk environment. This role supplies to regulatory compliance, high hazard operations, and committed safety goals. The safety specialist position will support the Everett Site and will lead workplace safety activities in a higher risk environment requiring additional focus on injury reduction.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports the planning, implementation and assessment of occupational health and safety programs and processes

  • Drafts health and safety programs that provide consistent approaches to risk reduction and compliance

  • Partners with manufacturing teams to investigate incidents, assess workplace hazards, and resolve safety concerns

  • Supports in providing training and instructions

  • Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations

  • Plans and conducts health and safety audits

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. Tomeet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bio-Engineering, Public Health, etc.)

  • 1+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene duties in an industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience with safety processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment

  • 1+ years of experience managing projects

  • Experience related experience performing Occupational Health and Safety risk assessments

  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).     

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $80,750 - $109,250
