Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Level 4 Cross-Model Maintenance Systems Engineer to join the BCAAvionics Organization located in Everett, WA.


System/software design engineering opportunity in cross-model Avionics Maintenance System. The Maintenance System functions integrate information from many different airplane systems.  Its primary purpose is to provide information to an airline mechanic about the health of the airplane.  The Maintenance System includes two primary functions: Central Maintenance Computing Function (CMCF), and Airplane Conditioning Monitoring Function (AMCF). The focus of this job will be on creating and maintaining the diagnostic databases. This will involve coordinating with teams across airplane systems, and building and testing new software.

Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with teams across airplane systems

  • Building and testing new software

  • System and software requirements generation and validation

  • System and software integration, testing and performance monitoring

  • Working effectively and well in a team setting

This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options the majority of the time.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering.

  • Minimum 9 years of engineering experience or minimum of 7 years of engineering experience with a Master’s Degree in Engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Willingness to learn and work as a team

  • Good communication skills and practices

  • Wide range of knowledge in Systems, Software, or Electrical Engineering

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary Pay Range: $128,350 - $173,650
