Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Mid – Level and Senior Engine Operability Engineers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Contributes and independently evaluates Engine Operability performance against propulsion, vehicle, and mission requirements and objectives.
  • Defines, coordinates and controls the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the vehicle.
  • Validates and proposes changes to specifications and architectural and configuration concepts for associated vehicle systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Uses various modeling and simulation, testing and data analysis tools determine system performance.
  • Defines and performs engineering and certification tests for propulsion system including Engine Development Program, Ground and Flight Test.
  • Works under general direction.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Astronautical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years or more experience working with and assessing Propulsion System performance or operability on air-breathing gas turbines.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s degree in aerospace or equivalent
  • Working knowledge in one or more following areas: Engine Performance, Engine Operability, Engine Controls.
  • Previous Engineering Development Program [EDP] testing and validation experience.
  • Experience working with Engine Original Equipment Manufacturer’s during development phases.
  • Motivated, self-starter, with a proactive approach to task completion and willingness to reach-out for help when needed.
  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Mid – Level (Level 3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range Mid - Level:  $100,300 - $135,700

Summary pay range Senior:  $121,550 - $164,450
