Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Mechanical Hydraulics organization is seeking multiple MechanicalSystems Technical Designers (Associate or Experienced) to join their team in Everett, WA. The candidate will provide engineering and technical decisions for Boeing commercial aircraft (737, 747, 767, 777 and 787), or all-new airplanes(s) that are currently in early development states. The main area of focus will be to interpret and develop design requirements based on technical data to ensure compliance with Boeing and FAA requirements. Assignments will provide an excellent opportunity to learn mechanical systems on the various platforms.

Position Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains engineering product definition by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and resolving design discrepancies to satisfy customer and production requirements. Coordinates engineering product definition with internal/external parties. Verifies engineering data by ensuring compliance to standards and integration of parts, instructions and tools. Investigates manufacturing processes or engineering related issues. Develops statements of work. Develops and validates new processes and procedures to increase the product quality and affordability.

Work Authorization:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Associate’s Degree required (Technical degree, Computer aided drafting or design).

  • 1+ years of experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD), utilizing model-based definition (Catia V5 or later versions)

  • 1+ years of experience with 2D & 3D design with some knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5 for drawings and ASME Y14.41 for CAD/CAM models).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with modeling and drafting of mechanical details and assemblies such as brackets, ducts or tubes in CATIA V5.

  • 1+ year of experience creating and managing configuration through Product Lifecycle Management platforms.

  • Experience with ENOVIA and Siemens Teamcenter PLM platforms.

  • Experience managing CAD assemblies and respective geometry and Bill of Materials

  • 1+ Years of experience of proven technical experience in aerospace or other mechanical engineering industries

  • Familiarity with Model Based Engineering

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ​

  • Associate (Level 2): $56,950 – $77,050

  • Experienced (Level 3): $68,000 – $92,000
