Do you want to help solve our most critical Safety risks at Boeing working directly with Program and Functional leaders? If so, the Boeing’s Safety Management System (SMS) team needs you!

The BCA SMS team is seeking Mid-Level (Level 3) or Lead (Level 4)Safety Management System Analysts to lead mitigation of our most pressing challenges our company faces in our design, build and fleet operation systems. Your work will directly help grow and improve our Safety Management System, improve positive safety culture, activate the SMS at all levels, and scale and accelerate SMS performance! This selected candidate will work out of our Everett, WA or North Charleston, SC offices.

An ideal fit for this position is someone with project leadership or integration background and experience interfacing with multiple/varied functions within BCA (Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Support). Previous experience with Product Safety is preferred; however, candidates with an eagerness to learn and develop expertise in these areas are encouraged to apply.

Strong team leadership skills and a desire to work with a large degree of autonomy. Strong communication skills are critical as this role communicates and interfaces regularly with vice president level leaders through working level teams. Previous experience with Safety Management Systems and 14 CFR Part 5 regulations is preferred; however, candidates with an eagerness to learn and develop expertise in these areas are encouraged to apply.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level (Level 3) and Lead (Level 4) Analysts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in Safety/SMS Risk Modeling techniques.
  • Drive improvements in speed and scalability within our Safety Risk Management (SRM) process.
  • Lead business-critical safety risk assessments collaboratively with BCA team members.
  • Drive Safety Assurance (SA) implementation with BCA teams as they identify and monitor their environment for new hazards and ineffective risk controls.
  • Integrate lessons learned with other Business Unit SMS Teams to ensure the proliferation of best practices.
  • Engage and communicate across the employee spectrum from Executive/Senior leadership to working level teams to promote and operationalize the SMS.
  • Collaborate and engage with external entities regarding SMS which may include Airline Customers, Regulators, Suppliers, and other entities.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering, business or technical field.
  • Experience in an analyst role.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typical Education & Experience:

Mid-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.)

Lead: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Mid-Level: $91,800 - $133,400

Summary pay range Lead: $113,900 - $164,450
