The Boeing BGS Program Protection Team is seeking a Product Security Engineer to serve as a technical member of a team of Platform Product Security Engineers.  This team is active in shaping product security requirements with industry and government partners - anticipating needs, and integrating best-in-industry solutions.

This position is expected to be 100% on-site at the Fort Greely, AK location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • With the focus on Platform Cyber Security, this position will serve as a team member supporting analysis of requirements, risk management, and information systems. As such, this is an engineering role.

  • Develops, implements, and sustains product security and resiliency throughout the requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle.

  • Develops and enhances system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements.

  • Ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support.

  • Defines and identifies product security requirements for suppliers of components and subsystems for integration into Boeing products and services.

  • Coordinates with governments, customers, suppliers, and industry to identify risks and improve industry and regulatory security standards and requirements for programs and interfacing systems.

  • Conducts research and development activities resulting in innovative solutions.

  • Advises customers on maintaining product security and certification, including security consequences of modifying products and services.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Current DoD 8140.03 Personnel Certification intermediate level certification such as GFACT, CySA+, SSCP, Security+, or GSEC.

  • 3 or more years’ experience with industry standard cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, OWASP).

  • 5+ years of experience working in at least one engineering field for large or small-scale systems

  • A technical background working with Information Technology in a Weapon System context.

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP or equivalent certification

  • Knowledge of DoD policies and requirements related to Cyber Security

  • 5+ years of experience in the field of cyber security, anti-tamper and/or secure computing

  • 5+ years of experience in working with suppliers, developing statement-of-work and technical performance specifications

  • Understanding DoD contracting, developing proposals, and the Boeing estimating process

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry or other Technical Discipline. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Work shift:

This position will be for 1st shift.

Summary pay range (Level 3):           119,850 – 162,150
