Boeing Poland Engineering and Technology Center is currently seeking a Boeing Global Services Engineering Manager (Supply Chain Engineering Projects) to join our team located in Gdansk, Poland.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops project plans, directs all project phases and acts as the primary customer contact for project activities.
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Manages employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines.
  • Implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, coordinates the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serves as liaison between project and team, finance, sourcing, and scheduling.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Identifies and actively manages opportunities, risks and issues to ensure effective resolution or mitigation, and co-ordinates required activities to ensure successful delivery.
  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Plans, schedules and manages project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track and report project status relative to the approved business case and scope, with transparency and insight into overall health of the project.
  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results and investigates problem areas.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential risks, and devises contingency plans.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Technical or Aerospace field.
  • 3+ years of Engineering related experience.
  • Fluent English.
  • Experience of working with Engineering Documentation and Product Data Definition.
  • Highly competent in using MS Project & the MS Office products in general.
  • Competent in using or familiar with engineering related systems and tools across aerospace.
  • Experience using tracking and reporting tools.
  • The individual must be enthusiastic, hands on in their approach and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels within the organization.
  • Customer Focus: Develop and maintain customer relations inside the organization. Actively seeks information to understand customer’s circumstances, problems, expectations and needs.
  • Builds Positive Relationships: Builds effective working with relationships with team and cross functional groups that are required to contribute to the success of the program.
  • Understand differing requirements and perspectives and lead the team through to successful conclusions.
  • Business Acumen: Manages complex customer and stakeholder relationships. Deals effectively across all levels.
  • Able to adapt approach to meet needs of different groups.

  • Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience using SAP MDG, ECC, SAP HANA will be beneficial.
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau and Teradata will be beneficial.  
  • Engineering experience in the field of Aircraft Spare Parts will be beneficial.
  • Spare Parts certification in accordance to PC700, familiarity with service and maintenance documents will be beneficial.
  • Experience of managing complex projects/programs is highly desirable.
  • Aerospace Maintenance and Service Experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Polish language is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian language is desirable.
