We are continuously growing our Boeing Engineering Center in Poland, building engineering teams to work across all of our commercial products and services. Boeing Engineering & Technology Center is currently seeking Expert Structure & Payload Design Engineers to become part of the Freighter Conversions and Modifications team in Poland. Structure and Payload Engineers will develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. You will develop, maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Models from 7-series Legacy series, 787 airplanes to the latest Boeing 777X aircraft.

This role providing communication and integration across the BCA and BGS Structure and/or Payload Design Engineering Team, Global sites and other Business Units.

A great opportunity has become available to join Boeing Poland as an Expert Structure & Payload Design Engineers, based on our offices in Gdansk, Rzeszow or Warsaw Poland.

Profile Description:

  • Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

  • Develops, maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Leads performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  • Runs supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.

  • Assists with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

  • Works under minimal direction.

Position Requirements:

  • 10 or more years' related work with FAA or EASA in Commercial Aircrafts or Defense.

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher or equivalent in Engineering or related field of studies.

  • Solid communicator, fluent in both written and verbal English.

  • Knowledges of Model Based Definition using CATIA/Teamcenter (or similar PDM) methods and tools.

  • Experience of work with composites.

  • Experience effectively communicating and collaborating on multi-discipline teams.

  • Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading multi-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of BCA, BGS, BDS processes and organizations.

  • Aircraft interior commodity experience (Interior commodities are items such as overhead stowage bins, lavatories, galleys, seats, PSU, sidewalls, air grilles, flight deck seats, etc.).

  • Experience of MRO or Production Line support.

  • Excellent oral & written communication.

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree in Structure Design or related science or technology field degree.

Important information regarding this requisition: This requisition is for a locally hired position in POLAND. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Poland. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through sophisticated technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master +3 years related work experience).
