Mid-Level Software Engineer (Onsite)

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer in Hazelwood, MOThe ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter, enthusiastic and will help bring F-22 capabilities into the future. This position will partner with a dynamic, diverse group of engineers across the industry working to bring mobile technology to the warfighter. Working on this team provides an exciting opportunity to work directly with the pilots, engineers, and partners to modernize capabilities across the Air Force.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
  • Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
  • Performs scrum master duties for Strike Team
  • Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics. Executes and documents software research and development projects.
  • Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
  • Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).  A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with cloud-platform technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Android Development experience (Java/Kotlin); Including using Android Studio

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience with development in the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) software development kit
  • 2+ years of experience with the Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) ecosystem
  • 2+ years of experience with developing native Android applications
  • Experience with profiling UI, memory, and concurrency on Android
  • Experience with on-device database management using SQLite
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • current CAC or TAK.gov account holder (or customer expedited)

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations.  Summary base pay range $87,000 - $107,000
