The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Space and Launch Organization is seeking an Associate Specialist Resource Controller to support the Proprietary Programs.  This position will be located in Herndon, VA.

In this very unique and exciting role, you will support installation, set-up and operational support with varying operating systems and hardware interfaces for a 24x7 operational system. You must have a good understanding of IT concepts and the ability to think independently and create solutions with non-standard equipment, duties will include working within and supporting proprietary areas.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.

  • Ability to work a 12 hour shift in a 24x7 Operations team environment to include working weekends, nights, and holidays.

  •  Provide support for the design, validation, and implementation of changes to computing delivery systems.

  • Perform system monitoring and backup and restore procedures to ensure system and data availability.

  • Administer user’s system access to meet security requirements. Perform problem resolution as appropriate.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed work locations.

This position requires an active U.S. TS/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance.  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

  • Ability to obtain a Full Scope Polygraph

  •  Experience working with or supporting Linux based systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience using computing systems at work

  • Experience working with supporting Windows 2008 or greater

  • Experience and troubleshooting complex network problems

  • Familiarity with VMware virtual network environment

  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting networks

  • Familiarity with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems

  • Bachelor degree

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range (Associate, Level 2): $73,950 - $100,050
