Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking an Experienced or Senior Supplier Quality Representative, reporting to the Supplier Quality Regional Manager, working out of the Oakville, ON office. The Supplier Quality Representative will join the Supplier Quality organization for approving and maintaining oversight of our suppliers to ensure conformance to engineering and contract requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of Boeing approved suppliers ensuring that performance and quality of products conforms to established company, international, and government regulatory standards, agency guidelines, and customer requirements by implementing, overseeing, and maintaining quality assurance programs, policies, processes, procedures and controls.

  • Perform specialized quality functions as contract evaluation and planning; data preparation, analysis, and reporting; development of quality tools, techniques, and methods; process improvements; maintenance of accountability and configuration of deliverable products and records; material review support; preventative and corrective actions; customer interface, liaison, and support product delivery.

  • Provide coaching and development to suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual Boeing and regulatory requirements.

  • Audit the basic quality system, suppliers’ quality assurance manuals, suppliers’ quality operating instructions, suppliers operating procedures and AS9100 compliance.

  • Maintaining accountability information to verify configuration of completed items, analyzing engineering requirements, change proposals, planning documents, digital product data, and model-based definitions.

  • Resolving production problems. Meeting with suppliers and cross-functional personnel to identify and document problems, providing response to cross-functional organizations, initial request to obtain corrective action of discrepancies, and monitoring and evaluating activities to ensure completion to material review board requirements.

  • Delegates product acceptance responsibility to suppliers.

  • Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work.

  • Provides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.

  • Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity.

This position requires to travel up to 75% of the time, performing onsite audits and advanced quality improvements at our approved processors.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at suppliers’ office locations at Oakville, ON.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • 5+ years of experience performing product, process or compliance audits of Quality Management Systems

  • Experience with root cause and corrective action analysis and implementation of acceptable preventative action

  • Proficient in MS Office tool suite and project management software tools

  • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time domestically and internationally, must hold or have the ability to hold a valid passport

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada

  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods

  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • 8+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • 8+ years of experience performing product, process or compliance audits of Quality Management Systems

  • Experience working with landing gear and surface finishing

  • Experience working with Aerospace Standard AS9100

  • Experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams

  • Experience with mixed commodities (fasteners, nuts and bolts, machined components, etc.)

  • Experience with mixed technologies (machining, fabrication, composite, and electronics assembly, etc.)

Typical Education and Experience:

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
