Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Fabrication organization is seeking a Senior Business Operations specialist (level 4 or 5) to support our Hard Metals Business Operations team based in Portland, Oregon,

In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and integrating programs, plans, strategies, and processes to meet our business goals. This includes assisting in the sourcing strategy for work commitment, analyzing costs, and mitigating any potential impacts. You will collaborate with business partners to validate results and determine the scope needed to achieve long-range business goals while coordinating commitments with internal and external organizations. Additionally, you will identify potential risks and opportunities, develop mitigation plans, and refine the business case. Your role will involve collecting and organizing data to maintain program status, customer and supplier commitments, and compliance within our management system. As a Senior Business Operations Specialist, you will also provide coaching and guidance to less experienced personnel. Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies and processes to meet business goals for authorization, such as sourcing strategy for commitment of work, cost imperatives, deployment analysis and impact mitigation.

  • Supports the coordination and clarifies the analysis with business partners to validate results and determine scope to meet long range business goals and develop business case.

  • Coordinates the commitments with internal and external organizations to fulfill strategies.

  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.

  • Meets with leadership to gain approval.

  • Collects, organizes and provides data according to established processes within the management system to maintain status of programs, customer and supplier commitments and compliance.

  • Ensures follow up action for issue resolution.

  • Provides coaching and guidance to less experienced personnel.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience performing in a support organization such as, but not limited to, Business Operations, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Change Management, Strategy, Project Management, or Supply Chain role

  • 5+ years of experience managing projects and using standard project management tools

  • 5+ years of experience collecting, interpreting data, developing and presenting recommendations to the executive level and leading high-level projects for Executives or Sr Leadership

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience project management experience and ability to work on several projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership

  • Experience in facilitating meetings and presenting to senior leader

  • Experience with Work statement Control, Work Movement and other business operations related processes

  • Strong verbal / presentation skills, Strong written communication skills including the ability to synthesize data into Executive level presentations

  • Experience working in a dynamic work environment, to include managing multiple priorities

Typical Education/Experience: 

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range (level 4): $115,000 – 125,000

Summary pay range (level 5): $142,000 - $153,000
