We have an exhilarating opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Technical Asset Management Specialist (Level 4 or Level 5) to join our Technical and Trade-In Team at Boeing Customer Finance, located in the city of Renton, WA.

As a Senior Technical Asset Management Specialist, you will be at the forefront of managing the technical aspects of transitioning used aircrafts owned by The Boeing Company to their new owners. From purchase and trade-in to lease return and repossession, you will be the driving force behind ensuring a seamless and efficient process. During these important transition activities, you will be responsible for tasks such as reviewing records, conducting maintenance checks, making configuration modifications, obtaining international certifications, and updating registration information.

  • Strong background in aircraft technical management, including transitioning used aircraft

  • Proficient in conducting records review, maintenance checks, and configuration modifications

  • Knowledgeable in international certification and registration changes

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with airline operations, industry regulations, and standards

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and coordinates all technical aspects of portfolio aircraft deliveries, lease returns, repossessions, in-service inspections, and storage

  • Interfaces with internal departments and external entities to ensure proper coordination

  • Carries full responsibility for a variety of complex projects with significant budgets and demanding schedules

  • Engages with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and maintenance repair and overhaul facilities to collect and develop comprehensive technical information for portfolio aircraft lease, sale, and purchase efforts

  • Reviews and analyzes technical information for management presentation

  • Reviews and approves maintenance reserve reimbursement claims of moderate complexity

  • Understands, complies with, and analyzes processes to make recommendations for process improvements

  • Works with management to implement a wide range of process improvements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working for Boeing, airlines, aircraft lessors and/or heavy maintenance organizations

  • 3+ years of experience leading projects

  • 3+ years of experience in a role that required project management skills

  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally for 20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Hold a current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) license or European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) type rating

  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance management, including planning and alignment of maintenance requirements and capturing and applying maintenance records

  • Experience or training in project management & leadership

  • 5+ years of experience interpreting and applying contracts

  • 5+ years of experience in a role which required influencing and negotiation skills

  • Experience in Aircraft maintenance

Typical Education/Experience: 

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 5)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range Level 4: $108,000 – $128,000

Summary pay range Level 5: $137,700 – $164,000
