The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate or Mid-Level Product Security Engineer (PSE) to join our Vertical Lift Product Security Engineering Team. This position will be based out of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.

Boeing Vertical Lift products support the vital missions of defense forces around the world, and provide protection and relief in a constantly changing geopolitical environment. Our team of highly-motivated, customer-focused engineers will support various vertical lift products to provide the cybersecurity solutions needed to protect customer information/data, the platform, and enable mission effectiveness.  As a member of the Product Security Engineering team, you have the autonomy and responsibility to work with programs to develop, implement, and sustain product security, cyber-survivability and cyber-resiliency throughout the requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports development and enhancement of system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements.

  • Supports assessment of risks, threats and vulnerabilities of the product assets and production systems in accordance with accepted industry, professional, and government standards to ensure security design integrity, availability, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

  • Supports definition and identification of product security requirements for suppliers of components and subsystems for integration into Boeing products and services.

  • Interfaces with customers and suppliers to identify risks, opportunities and requirements for programs and interfacing systems.

  • Supports research and development activities resulting in innovative solutions.

  • Supports trade studies and advises customers on maintaining product security and certification, including security consequences of modifying products and services.

  • Effectively communicates , both verbally and in writing, and collaborates on multi-discipline teams.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This division participates in a 9/80 work schedule.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience): (see education and experience for the levels below)

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 1 or more years’ experience in requirements analysis
  • 1 or more years’ experience in software architecture and software development

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (level 3)
  • Experience in the field of Cybersecurity, anti-tamper and/or secure computing and knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) policies and requirements related to Cybersecurity

  • Experience with Avionics and/or System Safety

  • Experience monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance with requirements.

  • Experience with risk management

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

  • Possess CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certifications

Typical Education/Experience: 

Level 2

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).

Level 3 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This position is for 1st shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for associate level: $98,600 - $133,400

Summary pay range for mid-level: $119,850 - $162,150
