We are continuously growing our Boeing Engineering Center in Poland, building engineering teams to work across all of our commercial products and services. The work will support Boeing’s full suite of commercial aircraft and covers product support. This is critical work to keep us at the forefront of aerospace engineering and innovation.

Boeing Engineering Center is currently seeking an Engineering Team Lead for Stress Structures team in Rzeszow or Warsaw, Poland.

Profile Description:

  • Identifying and correcting conditions and behaviors that affect employee and customer safety, upholding safety standards, demonstrating proactive safety culture leadership.

  • Good knowledge of business and organization operations.

  • High experience to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data, summarize findings, develop conclusions.

  • Deep knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/fields (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics); knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry o related field.

  • 5+ years of work-related experience performing structural fatigue/stress analysis.

  • Experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.

  • Ability to develop technical reports and present results.

  • Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office Software.

  • English language speaking and writing - intermediate level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in structural analysis of various airframe structures.

  • Experience with structural analysis of metallic and composite structures (good experience with composite structures).

  • Experience with Boeing specific tools (IAS, CSW, IDTAS, Dtanal, MossDuberg, FAMOSS, GKJOINT).

  • Experience with static, fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.

  • Knowledge of airplane operating environments.

  • Robust understanding of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, Free-body diagrams, structural loads and analysis methods.

  • Experience in utilizing FEM software (e.g., ABAQUS, PATRAN/NASTRAN, Hyperworks).

  • Experience or training with computer programming languages (e.g., Python, Visual Basic).

  • Experience in utilizing industry CAD systems (e.g. CATIA/ENOVIA).

  • Candidate demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills to liaise with several Stakeholders.

  • Ability to work across functional teams and organizations.

  • Team mentoring experience.

  • Desire to continuously improve our airplanes.

Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
