Boeing Engineering & Technology Center is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Wire Design & Installation Engineer to become part of the Freighter Conversions and Modificationsteam based in Rzeszow, Gdansk or Warsaw, Poland.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance in the development of assembly and installation designs, electrical product detail.
  • Provides direction used by multiple teams to analyze complex results and performs design reviews.
  • Provides guidance in installation design disposition on discrepancies.
  • Defines processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
  • Provides direction used by multiple teams to develop complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets. 
  • Directs the development of functional and physical design requirements to ensure complete integrated design architecture.
  • Provides final check of documentation developed by other team members.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or greater) in Aerospace or other higher technical education for qualification related to the development, manufacturing or operation of electrical/electronics systems.
  • 14+ years of work experience in Aerospace.
  • Experience in working as a focal or technical fellow.
  • Expertise in engineering fundamentals, principles and methods in system layout development, component design and electrical system installation.
  • Expert in normative documentation for the design of electrical system components in aviation.
  • Knowledge of the documentation used in aviation production (FAA/EASA).
  • Skills for qualified development and design of electrical system equipment architecture, ensuring solution of issues related to cost, schedule performance and technical parameters of project.
  • Expertise in power supply system, emergency and back-up power supply systems, lightning and air-conditioning systems, wiring system, system of electrical connectors, grounding, etc.
  • Ability to summarize results; develop conclusions and recommendations based on relevant data sources.
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD/CAM) tools.
  • Willingness to travel (c.a. 10% of the time).
  • Knowledge of spoken and written English at B2/C1 level including technical language.
  • Experience in mentoring engineers.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.

  • Experience of work with composites.

  • Experience of MRO or Production Line support.

  • Work experience as a DAE (CVE).

  • Ability to plan the budget related to the cost, schedule and technical parameters of the project.

  • Focus on long-term cooperation and professional development.
