The Missile and Weapon Systems (MWS) Engineering Organization is seeking a Mid-Level Product Security Engineering (PSE) Manager to organize, equip, develop, and sustain the MWS PSE Function in Saint Charles, MO. The MWS PSE team is responsible for the security, resiliency, and safety of our products and services.

In this role, you will be responsible for the MWS PSE team and ensure that our engineers and analysts are ready and able to deliver secure and resilient products and services to our customers. You will be the champion for Boeing PSE across MWS Program and Engineering teams.  This critical position will leverage and benefit from experience in strategic thinking, program planning, organization and execution, proposals, multi-discipline engineering & analysis, and talent management. You will work across the MWS portfolio, which is a dynamic and growing organization with a leadership team focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions for National Defense and Strategic Deterrence. The programs that we support include Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM), Small Diameter Bomb (SDB), Harpoon, and other cruise missile and direct attack munition systems.

You will be joining a team of Product Security Engineers and Leaders that are working across Boeing, to jointly develop best practices, techniques and tools, and a diverse technical community to draw upon to deliver best value to our customers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio engineering leader for all division-wide PSE organizational strategy and actions including staff alignment, deployment, training, and Responsibility, Authority, and Accountability (RAA).
  • Portfolio engineering leader responsible for ensuring engineering integrity, first time quality and efficient execution of Product Security activities on all MWS programs through the Gated Process and active participation in major program milestones.
  • Actively partners with programs and people to ensure performance and growth on MWS programs.
  • Establishing MWS strategy and implementation plans that leverages Enterprise Product Security Internal R&D investments to further develop MWS Product Security capabilities.
  • Hiring and developing top talent for MWS current and anticipated programs and product lines.
  • Develop and execute Saint Charles/St. Louis-region community and academic outreach and talent pipeline programs.
  • Influencing and executing our Enterprise PSE Functional Office strategy and tailoring to meet the unique MWS campaign and program needs.
  • Representing MWS PSE and partnering with Boeing Defense and Enterprise PSE Functional teams and partners.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. SecretSecurity Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 1+ year of experience in cyber security.
  • 3+ years of experience of engineering management.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Strategic planning and action taking, with proven experience influencing leadership, partners, and other groups.
  • Supporting or leading proposals.
  • Leading and supporting program planning and execution.
  • Establishing and adapting organizations.
  • Attracting, developing, and retaining talent.
  • Planning, executing, and leading the execution of multi-discipline engineering related activities in team environments.
  • Working with Risk Management Framework (RMF) plans and considerations
  • Understanding and experience in systems and/or software engineering, including Development of Architecture, Requirements, Concepts of Operations, and Use Cases, Development of Hardware and Software products, Integration and Unit Test, Verification and Validation, Testing, including Acceptance and Fielding Tests.
  • Demonstrated history of performance in systems or software engineering and leadership and operating throughout the course of the engineering or operations lifecycle.
  • Highly motivated and exhibit strong written and verbal communication, inter-personal, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and effectively with external customers and subcontractors in a multi-site and multi-discipline program and environment.
  • Experience with model-based engineering.
  • IAM Level 2 (or higher) DoD 8570 Certification.
