Boeing, Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated, talented Systems Engineers to join the Precision Engagement Systems (PES) team located in Saint Charles, MO to staff multiple new programs.

As a part of the Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) organization, Precision Engagement Systems (PES) is a dynamic and growing team with leadership that is focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions on Direct Attack (DA) and Cruise Missiles Systems (CMS) programs. Connected to our customers' missions, we deliver unique capability through our exceptional talent.  The programs we support in Saint Charles, MO include Direct Attack weapons (JDAM, SDB, MOP, HAAWC and associated derivatives) and Cruise Missiles (SLAM ER, Harpoon and development weapons) utilized on various military aircraft, some ground-based platforms, and other future contract awards.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate, Experienced, or Lead Systems Engineers.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

  • Evaluate customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

  • Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

  • Defining Systems Architecture in Model Based Systems Engineering using CAMEO.

  • Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

  • Support, develop, maintain and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

  • Resolve cross-functional technical issues.

  • Participation in skill development and rotation program.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Saint Charles, MO.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 1 or more Years’ of Engineering Experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experienced (Level 3): Experience working both independently and in team environments

  • Experienced (Level 3): 5 or more years' related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and engineering experience

  • Lead (Level 4): Experience with leading technical teams

  • Lead (Level 4): 9 or more years' related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and engineering experience

  • Experience in applying engineering processes and principles

  • Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation

  • Experience with systems development and integration

  • Experience modeling or simulating systems

  • Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. Earned value management, DOORs, CAMEO)

  • Experience with Model Based Engineering / Model Based Systems Engineering (CAMEO or equivalent)

  • Experience in design /electrical / software engineering & analysis

  • Experience in Industrial Engineering or Production Engineering

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for Associate level: $81,600 – $110,400

Summary pay range for Experienced level: $97,750 – $132,250

Summary pay range for Lead level: $119,850 – $162,150
