BoeingCommercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Mechanical and Composite Assembly (Entry Level or Associate) to support the assembly team based out of Salt Lake City, Utah for variable shift.

The successful candidate has entry level or associate fabrication skills and is detail oriented. We are seeking a problem-solving teammate. Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.
  • Prepares aircraft parts for painting.
  • Makes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes.
  • Performs machine set-up, machining and fabricating of sheet metal and extrusion.
  • Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
  • Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
  • Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.
  • Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Able to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ year related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to learn Boeing programs and processes

Typical Education/Experience: 

Entry Level (Level A):
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

Associate (Level B):
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for entry level: 38,250 – 51,750

Summary pay range for associate level: 46,750 – 63,250
