The Boeing Company is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Structures Mechanic to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the production and maintenance processes by providing support in multiple areas.

As an Associate Structures Mechanic, you will utilize computer systems to access aircraft data and initiate online parts and discrepancy requests. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our aircraft systems. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other team members, including General Mechanics, Avionics, and Electricians, to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality. Job Description:

• Ability to perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures and fracture critical areas.
• Ability and understanding of locating blind holes necessary for installation of new structural items to existing structure.
• Perform efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structure in accordance with standard repair processes.
• Demonstrate the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
• Experienced in the use of tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural parts.
• Detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required.
• Mechanic will be required to access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests.
• Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work.
• Must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds.
• Must be able to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays. Mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
• Must be familiar with Hazardous Energy and Lock Out /Tag systems applications to ensure working environment is deemed safe for access and job task performance.
• Will be required to assist other team members (General Mechanics, Avionics, Electrics) in order to ensure cost/schedule targets are met.

• Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at San Antonio, TX.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

This position requires the ability to pass an assessment during the training cycle.

The position requires compliance to SA Site Tool and FOD procedure.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Requires 4+ years' experience working with non porous metals, such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless.
• Requires 4+ years' working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures.

• Requires 4+ years' experience using structures hand tools such as: drills 45 and 90 degrees, pancake adapters, counter sink cages, hole finders, and rivet guns.

• Requires 4+ years' experience working heavy structures: locating, drilling, countersinking and fastening structures (doublers, stringers, webs, seat tracks, etc.) to aircraft.

• Must be able to work various shifts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Experience with Depot Level/Heavy Structures maintenance

• Experience working on or around Executive Fleet Platform
• Operate a forklift, mobile crane, and riding type electric powered elevating equipment to accomplish work assignment.

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED and typically 4+ years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Summary Pay Rate: $71,760

Additive Pay:  $1.00/hourly for Airframe Certification

                         $1.00/hourly for Powerplant Certification

                         $2.00/hourly for both Airframe & Powerplant Certifications
