Boeing Brazil is seeking Mechanical and Structural Engineering Manager, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager at Boeing Brazil, working out of the Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil office.

The Mechanical and Structural Engineering Manager lead high-performing engineering team (Structures Design and Stress) providing a variety of technical solutions and complex project oversight in support of existing and future products of Boeing Global Services – Commercial Modifications and Conversions.

Position Responsibilities:

•    Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering and Design.
•    Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
•    Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
•    Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
•    Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
•    Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

•    Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
•    Must have Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, with degrees in Aeronautical, Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
•    Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
•    Experience in Engineering design and/or analysis.
•    Experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers.
•    Strong execution, communication, and collaboration skills.
•    Fluent in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

•    Experience leading or managing technical teams. Experience with product integrity and in-service safety, and/or mission assurance.

•    Knowledge of Boeing's organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation.
•    Knowledge of FAA Regulations.
•    Experience in leading, coaching and developing others (including those who are not your direct reports).
•    Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with leaders and coworkers in an engineering environment.
•    Occasional travel may be required.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
