Boeing Brazil is seeking Mid-Career Avionics Surveillance Engineer reporting to the Avionics Team Manager, at the São José dos Campos office.

The Mid-Career Avionics Surveillance Engineer will join the Boeing Commercial Aviation engineering group being member of the Avionics team to support Surveillance systems development activities in several different platforms, including legacy development programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.

  • Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

  • This position will require occasional national and/or international travel.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.

  • Must have a degree in Engineering.

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).

  • Experience with electronic systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, with degrees in Aeronautical, Automation and Control, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

  • Experience with product development life cycle (e.g., V-model application on ARP-4754), requirements management and design review.

  • Experience with Surveillance systems (TCAS/ATC/WXR).

  • Experience with environmental qualification process.

  • Experience with product certification process.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
