Boeing Brazil is seeking Mid-Career Structural Design Engineer, reporting to the Mechanical and Structural Engineer Manager, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office.

The Mid-Career Structural Design Engineer will join Boeing Commercial Aircraft Structure team who provide support for the primary and secondary structure of the 7 series Boeing Fleets.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Guides product design, develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design

  • Develops, maintains and modifies structural and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle

  • Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort

  • Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements

  • Works under general direction

  • Occasional travel may be required in support of the program and customer

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil

  • Must have a degree in Engineering

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA)

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language

  • Experience with Structural Engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace / Aeronautical, Civil, or Material Science Engineering

  • Experience in Model Based Definition (for example CATIA, ENOVIA and PDM)

  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Experience providing product definitions and technical support to groups, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle

  • Production engineering experience

  • Experience with elements and actuation mechanisms for the Aircraft's System

-This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
