The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Multi-Discipline Engineer to join the team and support the Boeing Company Flight Operations ServicesFCOM/QRH team in Seal Beach, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates detailed engineering information, drawings and supplier data, to integrate into engineering and operational data packages for flight crews 

  • Supports change management for aircraft systems impacting flight crew data

  • Maintains flight crew procedures in association with the technical pilot team

  • Designs and develops flight operations data and documents

  • Performs engineering research for customer specific requirements and resolution of customer problems

  • Performs engineering research in support of customer specific requirements, problems and concerns

  • Evaluates customer digital data and publishing system’s needs including XML formats

  • Creates tools and processes to gain efficiencies related to FCOM and QRH production

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 1+ years of experience in support of aerospace products, including commercial or military airplane flight operations

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience working around live aircraft and flight operations

  • 1+ years' experience demonstrating creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills

  • 1+ years' experience in leading technical projects and managing technical data content and configuration

  • Knowledge/Experience with project management and project management tools (JIRA, etc)

  • Experience with coding in R/Python and SQL

  • Experience with technical writing and editing

  • Customer support experience

  • Experience in a team environment

  • Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience

Typical Education/Experience: 

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

  • This position is for 1st shift.

Summary Pay Range: $79,050 - $106,950
