Our Boeing Enterprise Services organization is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Level 4 or 5) to support our transformation journey. In this position, you will be a part of Enterprise Services' Operational Excellence & Transformation team, working in a virtual capacity.

We are looking for an individual who is curious, enjoys searching for insights in complex data, and skilled at turning them into practical and measurable outcomes. The ability to talk about data in business terms and language, and someone who is a storyteller at their core will be ideal for this role.

Enterprise Services (ES) is a team of over 2,500 employees whose collective mission is to enable the build of Boeing’s products. Enterprise Services provides strategic partnership and support to all Boeing business units through multiple service towers – creating outsized impact and value across the Enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Engage broadly with Services Towers and functional partners to frame, structure, and prioritize business problems

  • Mine datasets to identify information & insights relevant to answering key questions and highlight key indicators to drive actions

  • Work with multiple data sets and databases that don’t link or talk to each other; find ways to link them to enable the building of data sets, presentations, and stories

  • Uncover meaningful information from disparate and complex data and summarize in simple terms

  • Understand logic and data sources behind reports; conduct analysis to find issues, inconsistencies, and business solutions

  • Use logic and create complex formulas which account for multiple sources and variables

  • Work with Senior Manager of Operational Intelligence to build visual displays and stories using data; share story through graphs, diagrams, and data that are self-explanatory and drive useful outcomes

  • Provide relevant and practical insights using data in a simple to understand format

  • Present to and speak with diverse levels within the organization (from data analyst to VP)

  • Speak in depth about different data sets, fields, taxonomy, reporting suites, platforms, data systems, system architecture, and ERPs, in language that relevant audiences will understand

  • Work with Senior Manager of Operational Intelligence to help manage and implement data solutions as well as support data projects

  • Build new & recurring reports/dashboards and analysis using various platforms: Tableau, Microsoft BI, PowerPivot and Power Query; lead ongoing maintenance, updating, and building of data reports

  • Take problems/directions that are inconsistent, brief, and vague and both interpret & produce materials for reaction to; know follow-up questions to deliver accurate work

  • Understand data systems and architecture across ES towers and create data plans, approaches and strategies to enable efficiency & enhanced data system functionality within Enterprise Services

You will proactively build relationships with Key Stakeholders:

  • Enterprise Services Executive Leadership team

  • Data Science, IT, Finance

  • Service Tower Leadership (Indirect Supply Chain, Global Real Estate & Facilities, and Executive Flight organizations)

  • External vendors/consultants

Up to 10% domestic travel will be required based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel Power Query/Power Pivot/Power View

  • 5+ years of experience with PowerPoint and creating presentations

  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence/data analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI, Dashboards, SQL, Tableau, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • DAX experience highly preferred

  • Consulting experience highly preferred

  • 3+ years of experience working on large scale programs focused on data integration, analytics, and reporting

  • Experience understanding customer needs and tailoring messages presented relative to the audience; independently taking problems and creating solutions to deliver customer value

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset

  • Ability to collaborate across the globe and multiple time zones

Typical Education & Experience:  

Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD + 4 years' related work experience, Master + 7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)

Senior (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD + 9 years' related work experience, Master + 12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.   

Level 4 Summary pay range: $104,550 - $162,150

Level 5 Summary pay range: $119,850 - $187,450
