The Boeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking Talented AI/ML Software engineers who will be responsible for Creation of best-in-class models and ensembles that can be re-purposed and reused, covering domains of Classification, Prediction, Fusion, Decision Making, and Generative AI solutions, as part of the AI Factory team at the BTECK Korea site.

Work Information:

  • Work Type : Hybrid (Work from home & office)

Position Responsibilities:

  • Research and Development of models and ensembles covering:

    • Classification

      • Supervised (CNN, Unet, YOLO, et al)

      • Unsupervised (DBSCAN, K-Nearest, Adaboost, et al)

    • Prediction

      • Predictors (LSTM, UConv, et al)

      • regressors (Bayesian, linear, et al)

    • Fusion (sensor level, and entity level)

    • Decision Making (Task assignments, combinatorial and parametric optimizations, Reinforcement Learning, Path Planning, et al)

    • Generative (LLMs, Stackable LLMs, et al)

  • Expertise of hands-on experience with machine learning technologies

  • Machine Learning, AI, Deep Learning (TensorFlow, PyTorch), Text (Classification, NLP, Topic and Language Modeling, Sentiment Analysis, Information Retrieval), Recommender Systems and Personalization, Fraud Risk and Threat Detection, Computer Vision, Data Mining, Statistics, Big Data, et al.

  • Work closely with the Research leads and Chief AI Architects from Boeing Enterprise AI Center (BEAC)

  • Work closely with the Software Engineers in AI Foundations (for MLOps and DataOps development)

  • Work closely with the Software Engineers in AI Innovations (Application and consulting arm of the BEAC, developing the AI applications)

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and motivate the team to achieve common objectives through effective teamwork

  • Drive innovation by looking beyond current practices and utilizing creative thinking to discover new opportunities and solutions

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in AI/ML Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree

  • 5-10 years of experience in developing models and ensembles in the AI/ML space

  • Experience with software architectures and software implementations

  • Experience with AI/ML technologies, frameworks, models and ensembles

    • Experience with Pytorch, SciKit Learn, Tensorflow, and similar backend frameworks

    • Experience with Classification Supervised and Unsupervised models

    • Experience with Decision Making models, such as Reinforcement learning, et al

    • Experience with Prediction models, including time series models, regressors, et al

    • Experience with GenAI models, including LLMs et al

  • Experience with python, ML Ops and Data Ops

  • Experience with Model Serving pipelines, microservice architectures, dynamic library creation, and static library creation

  • Ability to quickly learn new next-generation algorithms and models, including Neurosymbolic reasoning models, Liquid time-constant models (LTCs), etc

  • Proper English and Korean communication skill in verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • A strong, influential, innovative, and collaborative engineer that can work in a global team

  • Strong background with optimizing and validating models

  • Experience with V&V test benches

  • Familiarity with Explainable AI (XAI) techniques

  • Familiarity with ONNX (Open Neural Net Exchange)

  • Proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply

  • Gains others' trust by demonstrating openness and honesty, behaving consistently, and acting in accordance with moral, ethical, professional, and organizational guidelines

  • Experience with mentoring, coaching, guiding, growing and leading teams of first level managers

  • 3+ years of experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers
