Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking to fulfill a Senior Manager Business Development & Strategy (BD&S) (Level M) position within the Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B) division to lead a highly talented team, reporting to the Director of MS&B BD&S Global Control. This role is hybrid, and preferred onsite location is Tukwila, WA but other locations such as Jacksonville, FL may be considered. You will be cultivating strategy to support growth of the BDS business and providing the conduit for sales of capabilities and platforms, with a focus on the P-8 Poseidon.

Position Responsibilities:

Tasking to successfully execute will include:

  • Collaborating to develop and adjust MS&B strategy to secure desired market positioning
  • Leading a team of qualified Capture Team Leads to win domestic and international P-8 business
  • Identifying market opportunities to advance P-8 capabilities and successfully bring them to market
  • Interfacing with Customers and Program to balance new business and execution planning
  • Partnering across the enterprise and externally to bring 'whole of Boeing' capability solutions to the war fighter
  • Stewardship of an annual multimillion-dollar New Business Fund budget and sponsorships
  • Responsibility to guide campaigns through the Boeing Enterprise Standard Gated Process and Integrated Business Acquisition Process
  • Representation of the Boeing brand at domestic and international events such as trade shows, conferences, Boeing tours, Customer meetings, and trade media interviews

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start isrequired.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience working within or with Military or DoD customers
  • Communication experience, both written and verbal, with a comfort in public speaking and frequent interactions with executive-level management
  • Experience with proposal management, strategies development and/or contract negotiations
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Current Secret or Top-Secret clearance
  • Understanding of operational and technical trends related to maritime surveillance, strike and C3 applied to US Navy and international customer opportunities

Relocation:

This position may offer relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Domestic and International Travel up to 50% of time, depending on home location.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range:

Tukwila, WA - Min: $204,850 – Max: $277,150

Jacksonville, FL – Min: $191,250 – Max: $258,750

(Compensation does not include Total Rewards benefits)
