Position Overview:

Boeing MS&B (Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers) Production Engineering Organization is currently seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to provide support to the B1B, E7, KC-46, or P8 Program based in Tukwila, Washington. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in the development, testing, certification, and integration of current and new production systems, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.

  • Develops, identifies, and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.

  • Provide on-site engineering support, create, coordinate, and issue manufacturing plans for shop consumption.

  • Foresee and prevent potential conflicts and risks associated with successful completion of work tasks / jobs.

  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.

  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.

  • Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.

  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start isrequired.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Experience in CAD/CAM software and other relevant engineering tools.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.

  • Extensive background and experience in product design, fabrication, assembly, and structural testing within the aerospace industry.

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft manufacturing processes and procedures.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively partner with production personnel and other stakeholders.

  • Ability to analyze complex manufacturing issues and provide innovative solutions.

Typical Education/Experience:

Entry-Level (Level 1): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.  

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range (Entry-Level - Level 1): $68,000 - $92,000 Summary pay range (Associate - Level 2): $80,750 - $109,250 Summary pay range (Experienced - Level 3): $96,050 - $129,950
