Position Overview:

The Boeing MS&B (Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers) Production Engineering Organization is currently seeking a highly motivated Experienced Manufacturing Planner to join our team and provide support to the B1B, E7, KC-46, or P8 Program based in Tukwila, Washington. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and optimize the new production systems. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced, Senior and Lead Level Manufacturing Planners.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to accurately define and document the as-built configuration.

  • Creates manufacturing concepts and strategies that align with business objectives.

  • Collaborates with suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to ensure manufacturing and delivery requirements are met.

  • Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure compliance with manufacturing-related requirements.

  • Identifies tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering specifications.

  • Manages tools throughout their lifecycle, from initial design to end-of-use disposition.

  • Investigates and resolving manufacturing-related issues to optimize production processes.

  • Conducts producibility assessments for part or product designs.

  • Provides valuable input on producibility to design, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing technologies, with a focus on cost and schedule efficiency.

  • Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.

  • Drafts, updates, and reviews processes and procedures to ensure compliance with business and regulatory agency requirements.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start isrequired.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • One or more years of experience in a manufacturing production environment.

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively partner with production personnel and other stakeholders.

  • 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4): ducation/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).

Lead (Level 5): ducation/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+7 years' related work experience, 11 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.  

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range (Experienced - Level 3): $69,700 - $94,300 Summary pay range (Senior - Level 4): $81,600 - $110,400 Summary pay range (Lead - Level 5): $93,500 - $126,500
