Looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, knowledgeable Senior Manager - Composite Wing Technologies to lead a team of Materials and Process subject matter experts focused on developing new materials and advanced composites processing technologies to support Wing development.  Targeted improvements in specs and standards, manufacturing production rates, first pass quality and throughput targets for composite fabrication operations.  This position is managing employees performing materials and processes engineering and technology support activities.

This Position will support BCA Product Development and BR&T Materials & manufacturing Technology, supporting the definition of technology road maps, materials & process modeling & factory simulation, development and execution of composite fabrication automation, simulation, and various technology projects.  Supports Program Engineering needs with large-scale prototyping, producibility reviews, MRB support, part qualification testing, pre-production verification, laboratory analysis, testing and technical support

This dynamic leader will have the opportunity to establish and maintain firsthand relationships with key product development and as well as the Boeing Research and Technology organization leaders. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads Puget Sound Composite Fabrication team, a group of 50 or more Multi-Skilled Engineers and Technicians in developing cost effective and innovative composite processing solutions for Boeing sustaining products and New Product Development.

  • Supports Composite Material and Process development and prototyping programs, focused on Wing Structures.

  • Responsible for Composite Materials and Process Specifications, Processor and Equipment qualifications, and coordination of spec custodians for the composite commodities.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 10 years of experience in engineering

  • Composite materials & fabrication experience

  • 5 years of management experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 15 years of related work experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in materials science or mechanical engineering

Summary pay range: $166,600 - $225,400
