Boeing Digital Aviation Solutions is seeking a leader to implement strategic initiatives and improve organizational efficiency for the Commercial Aviation Technical Operations (CA Tech Ops) business line. We are looking for a Strategy Execution and Operations Lead who can be located in Englewood CO, Seattle, WA, Seal Beach, CA, St. Louis, MO, Philadelphia, PA, Charleston, SC, or Plano TX.

Boeing Digital offers more than 80 digital solutions that save customers time, money, and resources in every phase of flight. These data-powered solutions enable customers across commercial, military, business, and general aviation to achieve safe and effective flight, operations, and maintenance.

As the Strategy Execution and Operations Lead, you will report direction to the executive director for the CA Tech Ops business line. You will be an active participant in the CA Tech Ops Leadership Team. This cross-functional group of leaders has a mission to integrate world-class analytics, software, and services into digital solutions that drive value for the maintenance and engineering needs of our Commercial Aviation customer. Your primary responsibility will be to shepherd the organization through successful deployment of change initiatives while ensuring organizational predictability and stability.

Our CA Tech Ops team is a global team spanning multiple countries. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to be agile, inclusive, and build positive relationships on a multicultural team. The successful candidate will also have strong leadership skills, excellent program and project management skills, a bias toward action, and proven ability to simplify complex and challenging business landscapes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a trusted advisor to the CA Tech Ops director and works directly with the CA Tech Ops leadership team to develop the vision and strategy for the CA Tech Ops team.
  • Partners across the network of Strategy Execution and Operations Leaders across Boeing Digital to align with broader business initiatives.
  • Defines, leads, and continually improves the CA Tech ops organizational processes and operating cadence.
  • Drives execution of strategic business initiatives, engaging a global and cross-functional team
  • Oversees, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for the Tech Ops portfolio.
  • Recommends integrated software planning, scheduling, change and baseline management, processes, techniques, and tools based on software industry best practices.
  • Engages with key stakeholders and manages internal partnerships with organizations across the Boeing enterprise.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options in Englewood CO, Seattle, WA, Seal Beach, CA, St. Louis, MO, Philadelphia, PA, Charleston, SC, or Plano TX. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years program and project management experience
  • 5 or more years of experience working in a software product organization
  • 5 or more years of experience creating and delivering presentations to executives
  • Experience leading programs or projects on a geographically distributed team
  • Experience developing organizational processes and operating cadences
  • Travel will be required and is estimated to be at 10-20%
  • Flexible work hours will be required as you will be meeting with stakeholders in multiple time zones

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Prior experience in a Chief of Staff, Software Business Operations, or similar role
  • Demonstrated understanding of the aviation industry and airline operations
  • Familiarity with Digital Aviation Solutions products and services

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $141,500.00-$192,050.00
